About Us

My name is Steph van Rooyen and I have been living in NZ  since the year 2000, I’ve learned that South Africans have a lot in common with Kiwis, including a love for the outdoors, sports and cooking over fire.

It has always been a passion of mine and having people gather around a fire, socializing and cooking food, always put a huge smile on my face. 

A need was raised  in Tauranga to provide high quality charcoal and wood, especially with the huge popularity in barbecue competitions. With my longstanding friendship with Mark from Countrywoods in Auckland I decided it’s the ideal time to ensure that his brilliant products get distributed in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato area as well. 

Owning a few charcoal/wood fire , rotisseries to cook either a whole sheep or alternatively a smaller rotisserie for a few smaller pieces of meat , and getting a few enquires about renting it out, I decided what a perfect addition it would be to my small business.
